Editorial Guidelines

Editorial Guidelines

Last updated: August 16, 2026

These guidelines govern how we create, review, and publish content at AI Tool Wiz. We hold ourselves to high standards because our readers trust us.

Content Principles

  1. Originality: Every post includes original research, testing, or unique insights. We don’t copy from other sites.
  2. Honesty: If a tool is bad, we say so. If a competitor is better, we recommend it.
  3. Evidence: Every claim is backed by personal testing or verifiable sources.
  4. Updates: Posts older than 6 months are reviewed and updated with fresh data.
  5. Disclosure: Affiliate links and sponsorships are always clearly disclosed.

Review Process

Every tool review goes through this process:

  1. Initial testing (7+ days) — We sign up and use the tool ourselves
  2. Deep testing (30+ days) — For top recommendations, we test for a full month
  3. Comparison — We benchmark against 3-5 competitors
  4. Writing — A team member drafts the review
  5. Editing — A second team member reviews for accuracy and clarity
  6. Publishing — Post goes live with full disclosures
  7. Updates — Reviewed every 6 months or when major changes occur

Conflict of Interest Policy

We do not accept payment for positive reviews. If a vendor provides free access, we still disclose this and apply the same testing standards. Team members cannot own stock in AI tool companies we cover.

Corrections

If we make an error, we correct it promptly and add a note at the bottom of the post explaining the correction. Readers can report errors to editor@aitoolwiz.com.
